Food very overpriced for very small portions. Very much style over substance. If it hadn't been for the cheese board (for which we paid extra), it would have been fish and chips on the way home.

What a fabulous setting. We had a lovely Sunday lunch followed by a walk around the gardens which are a haven for bees and butterfly's. I'd thoroughly recommend it. We'll definitely be back and, who knows, we might even stay the night

We’ve just enjoyed our second stay here. The staff are outstanding and that’s quite rare in Scotland these days, unfortunately. We stayed with our 3 year old and the staff were excellent with him and he/we loved our stay, the food, our walks round the garden and the location is great too. Would highly recommend and we’ll definitely be back.

we attended a 90th afternoon tea for 13 people. we had booked for the same day as a wedding which was lovely but I felt our party was seriously underhosted. tea spoons had been forgotten as has a tea menu. unfortunately the alcoholic drinks that were bought and paid for at the bar ended up on the final bill despite having been paid for. it felt very understaffed and badly managed. we agreed a wedding is an important day to celebrate but so was a 90th birthday. the gardens were beautiful and the food was really good when it e... read more
