Rooms not large but well equipped. The tea tray was a bit on the stingy side, 4 tea bags 2 coffee but no biscuits. Food in the restaurant was a good choice and very well cooked. Drinks were not overly expensive either. Lift only holds 2 people at a time

Had last minute booking as our previous booking at Atlantic Hotel down road was cancelled when we were checking in. Thankfully the The Royal Grosvenor had a family room available. As expected it was rated 2 star and that's what we got. No frills room , but roomy enough fr 3 adults for a night. Everything in room was reasonably tidy and clean. Shower room was OK as well. Great location near the sea front. Had a single room which was a good size for one person, not cramped like some single rooms. Had a very bad cold and appreciated the Hotel let me have my room earlier than the normal check-in time of 14.00 hours. Very clean. Had all I needed in the room.
