This hotel was far better than I expected. It's around 200 years old and has been extended, refurbished and updated over the years. Yes, perhaps it's a bit tired in places, but the rooms are clean and quite comfortable and reasonably priced, although it's best feature is the staff who are genuinely friendly and efficient. Well it needs updating, the lift so slow , nice size bed rooms bed was comfy. The breakfast was disgusting had a funny taste to it .

The staff were exceptional. Nothing was to much trouble. Rooms clean & fresh. Dinner & breakfast was very good.plenty of choices Great value for such a central location. Would definitely come again.

This is an older style Victorian seafront resort hotel. The sea front rooms have a magnificent view but can be a little noisy as the hovercraft comes and goes. I don't mind as I like to watch it. Wifi powerful. Lift OK. Bed/linen/shower room etc. all as they should be. Staff friendly and helpful. Parking easy (book before) and close by. Various bars and cafes in the hotel and other eateries close by. This was our second visit.
