We only ate at the restaurant and were delighted with both the food and service. This place has an elegantly simple menu; the tagine and the venison were great, as were the crumble, the cheese platter and the wine.

We had a wonderful dining experience at the Rowan Tree Country Hotel, just outside Aviemore. The restaurant is full of character, set in an old 18th-century building with open fires, wood beams, and a cosy, homely atmosphere overlooking Loch Alvie. The food was exceptional. Wir waren hier zum Abendessen. Die Vorspeise zwei mal Tagessuppe (Süsskartoffel / Kokosnuss) war unglaublich gut. Danach gab es einmal Lachs mit Gemüse und Kartoffelstampf und einmal Beef Wellington - Hervorragend!!! Als krönenden Abschluss hatten wir ein warmes Apple crumble. Vielen Dank für dieses super Essen.
