I called RotoRooter to come and fix a clogged drain. When the technician came he went down into my basement with a snake to go into the drain, to see what the problem was. In the middle of his findings he advised me that he needed to call a friend of his that have a camera he also advised me that this will not be of any expense to me. "I will pay"... We contacted Roto-Rooter because our washing machine was causing water to backup into a wall. We shared we had just bought a house and believed the problem was the washing machine pipe had a 2 inch output whereas the wall drain was 1.5 inch. They sent a "drain technician" to the house who said he didn't think that was the problem and said the line just needed to be cleaned. He snaked the line and sold us a cleaning solution. Called our local Roto-rooter to clear our French drains and was told a technician was available and that they would be right out to give us an estimate. 2 1/2 hours later two representatives showed up and my husband met them and proceeded to show them the layout of our drains. He was dismissed midway and told that it didnt matter and that it would be $1500.00. Made an appointment for leaking pipes had to wait 2 days for someone to be able to come out. Called to verify, was informed they had tried to call me to cancel said appointment, Never received call, pipes still leaking sub-floor, will now have to be replaced. Would not EVER recommend using this company to anyone and will be posting this anywhere I can.

Installed water heater w/o permit. Did not wrap pipes; did not install expansion tank; broke my burglar alarm system; broke ceiling light fixture; charged $3,000.00. Other plumbers said job would be $1,500.00 at most. City inspector has called owner to tell him to get permit. I have checked with city every few days and owner has not gotten permit. This has gone on for more than seven weeks. I cannot understand why this is not resolved.

Where to even begin. If I could give Roto-Rooter negative stars I would. Unfortunately, there are serious issues with dishonesty, overcharging and fraud at the location: ******************************************************************* and the corporate contact, ********************* has yet to return a single email or phone call regarding the issue. All together a horrible company. DO NOT HIRE THEM FOR ANYTHING.

Roto-Rooter lied to me about what they found, lied about what work they did, lied about what was needed to be done to fix the problem, lied about what equipment they had to do the work. They overcharged me by 200-300% (according to other plumbing companies).Do NOT ever use Roto-Rooter and warn your friends and family to never use them either. I was ripped off for over $11,000.00!!

If I could give zero stars I would... Sadly, by reading other people's reviews it looks like this company is a repeat offender.Stay away unless you want to pay to basically be taken for a ride...We called to get our sewage drain cleaned (as every homeowner is advised to do every couple of years) and upon showing up the first thing that the tech did was to say that our line was ballooning and it was collapsing and that he was going to call "his manager". I wish I would have checked these reviews before we called Roto-Rooter. But of course it was the weekend end and an emergency.Whatever you do, do not have Roto-Rooter come out any do any service for you. They overcharge and do incomplete service. The technician did not have a consistent price list. He kept changing the price around. The tech did not show up when he said he would.
