On */24/2021, technician J came to fix a root clogged yard tile. He arrived with hydro jet and 400 gals. of water. He barely had his feet on the ground and proceeded to say this wasn't going to work and that I needed to replace the whole tile for twice as much. He was suppose to be there from 9:30 to 11:30. When I contacted Roto-Rooter, they refused to tell me their hourly fees, etc over the phone. I am a retired senior citizen and they charged me $800 for one hour to flush a drain line with high pressure. When I asked the technician to finish putting the pipe work under the sink back together, he said Im not a plumber, although it says plumbing in all their ads. Showed up no mask or other PPE as advertised on their website. Quoted and outrageous price for a single easy access drain. Dont bother with these guys.

I called Roto Rooter to unclog my sewer line, because sewage was backing up into my basement. They showed up, ran the machine and said it was unclogged, so I signed the paperwork and authorized the charge to my credit card, on the basis of their word and seeing the flow of water working that day. The next day, the sewage was back, in my basement, same as the day before. I hired these people to clean up ******************* after Hurricane *** and was told charges for their services would range from ****k. A week later after the work was done, I was charged over 17k (without any prior notice). This place is a complete scam and they know the system.

Had Roto-Rooter out for water mitigation. They said it would take about 5 days and they'd save the carpet, but ended up taking 8 days. Little did I know that they charge per day on the air movers and dehumidifiers. They left all the furniture in the middle of the basement when they started, and didn't move it until day 5, when I had plenty of room in storage rooms adjacent to my basement that could have stored the furniture. Roto rooter in ******, NYcharged me double the amount to fix a clogged kitchen sing. If you think I am exaggerating, how about these numbers- $475. What a shame. It wasnt me it was my tenant who is a single women. They completely took advantage of someones misfortune.

I wish I had looked into the reviews before hiring them - They were all bad!I left them a note through their web form and they directly came home without discussing costs or understanding our needs through phone/email.Because I'm a first-time homeowner, I panicked and hired them on the spot when they told me that the issue was very serious. They quoted a flat fee of $450 but the work only took them less than 10 minutes to complete. I had a leak from upstairs bathroom. One plumber came out on 8/03/21 and said it was the wax ring. We test to see the leak by flushing the toilet and shutting the water off under the toilet. He removed toilet and replace the wax ring and reset the toilet. He also change a pump fill valve in the toilet tank. When he finished work he said my water valve under the toilet can't turn on now.
