Excellent experience.
Beautiful and Picturesque Castle in the heart of Rothesay. The Castle itself is right in the centre of Rothesay and also there is an active moat surrounding, which adds to its pleasant lovely picturesque setting and also the Castle is very complete compared to other castles you visit in Scotland, which is a great unique selling point for it. There is plenty to see and do with The Pit Prison where you can see prisoners resided and the conditions they lived in giving you an idea of their harsh and difficult conditions they liv... read more
A lovely castle with interesting history. The staff were very helpful, engaging and informative. The castle is well kept but some structural work is being done so a couple of sections are currently off limits. Well worth a visit to this excellent example of 13th century Scottish castle building.
