In 1922, Giovanni and Virginia Biale left the town of Savona in Genoa, Italy with their three young sons, Giacomo, Mario and Rudolfo to make a new life in America. With help from a cousin, they made their way to San Francisco and settled in the Italian section of Potrero Hill. Food is always amazing but the service was awful!!! Food took 30 minutes to come to our table. Which another server not our waitress blamed it on the fact that the kitchen was down a staff member. Our Waitress had an attitude, while Other staff seemed lost when I asked for Parmesan cheese, Togo box and our ticket. We drove over 21/2 hours for this pizza which we look forward to when we do come. It's unfortunate that this may be the last time.
They have the best linguine and clam sauce on earth

The food is good but the service is terrible. Each server and host appears to be put out by asking for the simplest items (i.e. Utensils, napkins or cheese). I found that I cringed when entering this last time - which now means they have lost a customer and I am telling everyone I know. What a shame as I like to support local.
Great food. Friendly staff. And they're always doing a fundraiser for a local charity. Do yourself a favor and try Rocco's. And don't be limited to pizza! Their Italian dishes are amazing!
