I will tell my family and friends to turn back and not go in to RWJBH. Waited almost 12 hours in the emergency room with my 83 yr old mother. The nurse never came in to check on my mom unless I called her and even then we waited almost 2 hours for her to respond to the nurse button call. We get discharged and the doctor prescribes her the same medicine she is already taking but the generic brand name. I cannot wait to receive the questionnaire. Currently waiting in the ER. Been waiting here for over 5hours. In the hallway, cold, hungry and just waiting.
I was disappointed. I drove a little further because the hospital was recommended for pediatrics and I was left feeling unheard. My son is on Day 7 of a fever... I already know he trsted positive for flu but my concern was his chest and/or strep because he has a horrible cough and last year had flu and strep at the same time. At one point I felt like the doctor talked down to me .. " Do you understand what I'm saying?" we left without swabbing for strep (at least rule out) and no chest xray because my 3 year "looks" ok. Preop and surgery scheduled then the day before the Dr decided she changed her mind and cancelled the surgery. Yes I am livid!!
my son has been here several times. one time the Security officer kicked him in his lower back and fractured 3 vertebra...three transverse process fractures. it was reported to the New Brunswick police but the.detextives refused to investigate. I am now retired and have a really great attorney and I will get justice for my son.
