We used to patronize this place when it was the original Riverside Grilled Fish, but today was the first time dining here since it was rebranded into Canton Claypot Cuisine. The Original Wushan-styled Riverside Grilled Fish $35.90 (we chose the Qingjiang fish which was very bony) was disappointing. No sight or taste of any peppercorns and spices, but just mainly dried chillies so no depth of flavour at all. First time trying as i always notice a long queue. Tried today and what a disappointment! Ordered the grilled fish and the fish is at most at less than lukewarm throughout the whole session. Though theres lit candle burner below the pot, the food just wont heat up. Fish is quite fresh but with the cold and less than lukewarm food. I wont come back again..
First time trying out this restaurant. Saw the many good reviews on Google and decided to give it a try. Overall, quality of food was decent and price was reasonable.
