My husband and I just stayed at this motel last night. We stayed in room 2123 the room is very very outdated and had very old smell to it. The sink in the bathroom didn't drane, it was freezing in the bathroom when you showered. Very old carpet and heat and air wall unit. The king size bed was alright the location was great you had to walk down to the office to get ice because the ice machine was tore up ! The balcony was so rusted you couldn't touch it the restaurant is very pretty when it is open. Never have stayed at a pl... read more

I would give it one star but they offer free popcorn and candy in the lobby. That’s about all I can say good about this place. It is in a good location for walking to the strip of Gatlinburg. One of the most uncomfortable beds I have ever slept in. They caved really bad to the middle and were incredibly hard. The pillows were about as thick as a a piece of cardboard in which they only offered two per bed. There were peanuts and candy all over the floor and under the beds from previous stays. The bathroom was relatively clean... read more

This place is horrible don't let the pictures on the internet fool you! it is a roach motel and smells like cheap hotel room, carpet is from 1970, tibs are black! and the customer service at the front desk is non-existent! I will make it known do not stay here I repeat do not make the mistake I made and stay at this horrible nasty place... doesn't even deserve 1 star! I almost slept in my car thats how bad it was!

Staff are nice and friendly , great location. Beautiful views. With that being said parking arrangements are horrible , & the grounds keeper must of been fired , grass & weeds in most the cracks taller than the lawn , bare dirt in the flower beds , and shrubs look as if they have not been trimmed in a full year.. It's really little things but they add up.

We stayed at River Terrace From Sept 9-17, 2017. We usually stay at Westgate Smokey Mountain Resort & Spa, but due to the tragic fire that was not possible. We had a wonderful room with a jacuzzi and a nice kitchenette with frig and microwave. The room was clean, bed comfortable, and spacious. The staff was super friendly and very helpful. We are moving from Florida to Tennessee, and will stay there again while we view some homes. Oh, we did go to the restaurant, excellent service, great staff, and yummy food. Our stay there... read more

Their website is a gross misrepresentation of what these rooms actually look like. The pool was half demolished (it was a bummer since it was hot and everyone else had open pools at their hotels)and the room was run down, stained towels and sheets. Bathroom was unpleasant just to be in. It was like the rooms were shabby, trashy remodel versions of the rooms on the website. We will not be coming back despite the good location.
