I think this place is now closed. We went on a Friday evening at about 6pm and not open, but also no signs of being open for ages. Apparently closed 2 weeks ago, but they've not updated Google. Their response shows attention to detail is not great as they said they closed on 1st July... wasted everyone's time.
A lovely pub to drop into after walking in the area. Clean, plenty of space and reasonably priced on a range of drinks. Haven't tried the food yet but from what we saw it looks like ample portions of tasty food!
Came for Sunday lunch, portion size was impressive and food was delicious. The ordinary beef was soft, although the brisket was not the best. The mashed potato is fantastic and there was a good variety of veg. Gravy is also delicious. We ordered the honey parsnips and I would recommend this addition! The apple crumble had a good cinnamon flavour in the fruit, but the crumble was a little crispy for my preference but was a good dish.
