A small group of us went to Glentress for a private lesson, looking to learn the basics and feel more confident on the trails. We had such a fun afternoon, Andy was a fantastic teacher who put us all at ease and helped us to build our confidence. Looking forward to coming back and putting what we have learnt into practice!

Had my first ever EMTB lesson today with Allan and I’m honestly buzzing. I’m a complete newbie, I’ve been out on my bike a total of four times, and I cannot believe the difference after just one morning. My riding has improved massively but the biggest change is my confidence. Allan was absolutely brilliant. He broke down all the fundamentals in a way that actually made sense and by the end of the session we were flying down trails that I would have been too scared to even look at before. Getting proper lessons is a no brain... read more

I recently went on a private Ridelines course with my two sons (age 7 & 11), geared around getting the boys more comfortable on berms, drops and jumps. Alan, who provided the tuition was great, and importantly was great in building trust and good rapport with the boys, and was able to put some different ideas across (compared to my bad habits). Alan had a calm and measured approach to building up the difficulty and giving the boys the opportunity to take the line/drop they wanted to etc. Overall, we had a really enjoyable mo... read more

Having a 20 year period without being on a bike, I thought it was a good idea to get a lesson and my first taste of actual mountain biking. So glad I did. I had a 1:1 with Andy and it was great. He fitted me in last minute and met me in the car park. We started with a small assessment to see my skill level and he then demonstrated skills and got me to carry them out. We progressed like that with him watching and giving feedback/tips before moving on. We finished up with a couple of runs down the trails and I'm now hooked. It... read more

I recently attended the beginners course which was excellent. The instructor, Andy was spot on, clear in all his information and worked within my competence level but also gradually moved me on to try more. Andy was able to break each of the skills down and when we went out on the trails these skills could be put into practice with further input when needed from Andy. This course was a great confidence boost as it covered so many core skills with explanations. Now I need to practice all that was taught to hopefully get rid o... read more
