Excellent service – I first found out about Karen from the best of. So I called her and was told to come by anytime, and she would be glad to talk to me. This would be my first tattoo so I was understandably nervous and trying to figure out what I wanted for sure. We talked for over an hour and by the time I left I felt totally at ease with her and my choice. I found Resurrection to be extremely clean and the music was cool. Karen Slafter of Resurrection Tattoos – Karen Slafter is a great tattoo artist. She's friendly, outgoing and very down to earth. I got my first tattoo from her, and would not go to anyone but her for ink. Shes very creative and light-handed. If I have an idea for something, I can do a rough sketch or give her an idea of what I want. She can then take in my ideas and turn it into a great work of art. The Best – I met Karen Slafter when she did my daughter's shoulder piece a couple of years ago, and decided right away to have her design and ink my first piece. She's amazing with color, and she has a gift for translating what I describe when we're working on the design. I wouldn't go to anybody else. She understands that when I'm getting a tattoo it has meaning for me, and she works with me accordingly. Great Artwork – Karen is awesome!! I've been going to Karen for over a year and she's been nothing but the best. When I first went to her new shop "Resurrection" I thought it was a really clean place and the people there seemed to be friendly. I cant wait to see her again!

DON"T GET MUCH BETTER THAN THAT! – Karen has always blown my socks off. I have been getting tattoos from her for 16 years. I have seen plenty of other folks in that time and I always go back to Karen. I have a piece on my entire chest she is currently working on that is the most amazing thing i have ever seen and the price was just crazy given she has been voted best of in the Austin Chronicle for 3 years in a row. Karen Slafter rules!! – I'm sorry but 26ranches does not know what she is talking about. Rude? Hardly, she wsa the only person that talked to me when I walked into her old shop. She WANTED to help me. I will never go to another tattoo artist (and I do mean artist) as long as I am getting ink. As far as the space being small...obviously 26ranches never went to her last space. Perception of Things – I've spent several hours letting Karen tattoo me and I can't seem to find anything negative to say about her. 26ranches wrote a particularly scathing review that is unfounded and unreasonable. Perhaps that person has lost their mind? Karen did a large backpiece for me and worked with me through numerous revisions. She was the fourth or fifth artist I went to and the only one who seemed to have the proper enthusiasm. She has also done my calf and my wife's calf. Karen Slafter really is the Best in Austin! – Karen Slafter at Resurrection Tattoo on S. Lamar is the only person I'll let near me with a needle. She is fast, light-handed and amazingly creative.
