I couldn't be happier!! – After much research and portfolio searching, I settled on Annie Mess to do my first tattoo. I liked her immediately, she made me feel completely comfortable, interesting to talk with (important when you're sitting for a tattoo!), and not to mention- is VERY talented!!! Annie Mess is amazing! – Let me start by saying that I had a small tattoo on my back so I was aware of how getting a tattoo felt. Well, touchee because Annie Mess has an extrememly light hand and each sitting was a painless joy. First off, her creativity is amazing. I went in with an idea for a quarter sleeve with the center piece being the foot of mercury. i got a huge leg piece by annie and while it took almost a year to complete it was very well worth it. she worked in everything i asked for, touched up everything that needed it and explained every detail and why she chose to do things any certain way. it was a great experience and i would most def. go back to her. great girl amazing artist clean and totally client oriented. ps. i made the drive from houston to austin nearly once a month for a year for my appointment and can also say that annie never cancelled on me or made ... read more

Amazing artist who happens to tattoo... – I have a large back piece designed, created and conceptualized by Annie Mess. I have invested 36.5 hours of time and thousands of dollars into this tattoo, which I consider it a masterpiece! I met Annie on recommendation from another artist, who I had initially selected to for the work. Annie Mess is Thee Best! – I cannot agree with rosygrl. Pooey to the Annie dis. Annie, honey, you are awesome. I know I have a really odd request with my sleeve (Strawberry Shortcake), but for Annie to take over from another artists work, I was truly amazed. She actually touched up areas that were not showing bright as it should. Coloring lips black, instead of the pink that the previous artist had done (which of course pink fades after a year or so). In response to the last review about me (Annie Mess): I pride on customer service, and the client never told me she was unhappy. At the end of the session she told me she was happy with the work and I assumed that we would continue with more color (greens and yellows) on the next session. I would have been more than happy to change the design if she would have told me. I feel judging an unfinished tattoo is unfair. Waiting 4 months to post a bad review is also unfair. Horrible experience, Annie Mess totally overrated – I had a tattoo done by Annie Mess in October, which I have since been having lasered to remove. My experience could have been the result of a horrible miscommunication (even though I was explicit in my description and brought in a finished tracing and color studies of what I wanted.) I should mention that I have a degree in drawing and painting. Karen is amazing – Beautiful art, beautiful soul, beautiful ink. The woman knows her stuff. She can bring a brilliance to your own art that you didn't know existed or create something from scratch as if she has know you your whole life. Great insight, amazing talent. Will never go to another artist.

Amazing Tattoo Experience from Anniemess – I went in to Resurrection Tattoos knowing that I wanted a memorial tattoo for my grandmother, but not really sure what I wanted, or where I wanted it.
