Specialties Tattoos and fine art History Established in 2012. Golden Age was opened after a long arduous process of building the interior of the shop. Luck was on our side and everything turned out wonderfully. Thanks to the help of clients and friends who all offered their support! Meet the Business Owner Annie M. Business Owner I love tattooing big bright-colored pieces but I 'm comfortable working in any style. Outside of work I enjoy painting, photography, drawing, sewing, design and of course being a mother and wife. I'... read more

Tina -Great Ink and Best Artist anywhere – Tina is the best artist I have ever encountered. Her art is innovative and the ink fantastic - in the last year Tina has created 7 different tattoos for me - each one beautiful. She really cares about you as a person and takes the time to ensure your tattoo is one you will enjoy and love forever. I highly recommend stopping by Resurrection and meeting the team - Roger, Tina, AJ and Bradley. You won't regret it:)
Karen Slafter - art for life – Karen has been working on me for almost 6 years now. Over this period of time, she has consistently provided me with the some of the most striking color work i've witnessed along with the absolute highest quality and up to date products on the market. Her attention to detail and cleanliness are unparalleled, and her self confidence and knowledge make you feel immediately at home. She is the most honest artist i have ever come across, and wastes no time in sharing her knowledge on what will work... read more
Karen is a rock star! – I would definitely recommend Karen Slafter. She was very nice, very thoughtful, and she really put A LOT of effort into my tattoos. I wanted tattoos of my dogs, but I didn't want them to be photo-realistic. I wanted them to be a little crazy and full of colors. I was afraid of getting a photo-realistic tattoo because I could spend the rest of my life thinking that they don't really look like the real thing. What's weird is that Karen did her own interpretation and drew up some really crazy dogs with w... read more
Again I am amazed by Karen! – I love all that Karen does. I just recently got pregnant, and talked to Karen about getting a tatto. Karen was really nice and told me no. There wasn't much online about pregnancy and tattoos, so I was glad that she was there to guide me in the right direction. I am thankful I have karen to do my tattoos. So I sit here pregnant gathering ideas until after the baby is born. I didn't just get tattos from Karen, I got a smart and well educated woman as a friend. Keep doing that awesome work that yo... read more
Great Tattoos!! – I will definitely go back to Resurrection Tattoos and recommend the place to others. It is bright, well-arranged, the employees are helpful, and it is clean! Sanitation has never been a concern. My husband and I have been going to Karen for several years and I always get compliments on her work!
Most talented staff of tattoo artists in the western hemisphere. – A sterile hospital environment masked by art from floor to ceiling, Resurrection Tattoos is quickly becoming the best ink parlor in Austin. The shop is roomy and the staff is super friendly because they all are very good and, more importantly, love what they do. Recent ?Best of Austin? winner Karen Slafter works out of the shop, but everyone there is a cut above your typical street corner stabber. I have multiple tattoos from multiple cities and shops and vow... read more
rarely does talent and professionalism meet as it does in Karen – After a bad first tattoo experience on the drag, I waited over ten years to committiing to another go at a tattoo. I have high expectations for the quality of design and artistic expression in all things, especially something that would always wear on my body. When I moved to Austin, I saw Karen's work and thought that I may have found the artist that I had been looking for. I presented Karen with a concept and rough draft of a tattoo and she surpassed my expe... read more
Karen Rocks (and so do her new digs) – I met Karen almost a year ago, when she was over at "the other place." Karen e-mailed me recently wanting me to come see her at her new "home" at Resurrection and so she could photograph her work on my back. I went in yesterday to see her at Resurrection and all I can say is "Wow! Resurrection is 1,000% better than the shop where she previously worked." We were greeted when we walked in the door by her friendly other co-workers, and the shop was clean, bright, and smelled fresh. Karen h... read more
karen..one great artist, one great person! – I must say that this rancher26 guy is off his rocker,he obviously does not know karen as well as he thinks he does.what he has met her once right?i know karen from southside, she did the first ever tattoo i ever received and everything was great, yes even her persona..and if u have not noticed most tattoo parlors in austin have small parking areas not just that one in particular..and if the guy down the street was so much better and he felt this way then tell me why he did not go the... read more
