Get directionsLove this place. Rooms are so cool. My second time staying here while in town. It will always be my go to place in Des Moines
My family of 5 stayed in a "suite". The set up of this place is absolutely a waste of space and totally un-functionial. The coffe pot and refrigerator are at one end in a tiny room with no microwave and no water...you have to walk all the way to the other end...thru every other "space"(not sure how you can call them rooms with no doors and walls that don't even connect to ceiling)to the TINIEST bathroom to even get water. Hi Janell! Thank you for your feedback! Our hotel — built 100 years ago — was completely renovated with a unique interior design in mind that reflects the chic atmosphere of our location in downtown Des Moines. We are sorry for your discomfort, and we’ll strive to make our accommodations the best they can be. Thank you.
Great location in the center of downtown Des Moines. Walkable area to many great venues and restaurants. Farmers market literally a block away during the summer. Staff was friendly and helpful. Room was larger than expected. Would definitely stay again!
It’s a great location for walking to restaurants and the Ballpark. We’ve felt safe in the neighborhood.
I've been double billed and still no resolution. Now I'm unable to have my calls returned
Kevin is a great bartender! Very attentive - give him a shot!

Various members of the staff came down to the lounge to greet not only the event planners but most of our guests, ensuring each guest was welcomed and had a cocktail in hand. We greatly appreciated the generosity and the exceptional experience made all of our guests say that we have to come back for more events this year! The Savery is a wonderful sp... read more
