I'm new to Seattle, have been to the REI in Norwalk CT. and liked the styles and brands, but this store in Seattle took the cake, the store experience was exceptional, waterfalls and rainforests to walk through, I almost forgot I had come to look at jackets!
I have to say, this rating is based solely on our experience at the garage sale yesterday. We are regular customers and usually love REI. Especially when there is a sale. Went to the garage sale last year and had a blast in spite of the long waits. And I mean LONG waits. This year? A number of factors made our experience far less than enjoyable. STUNNING STORE! Impressive amount of gear and awesome quality.. but not A DAMN REI employee greeted my husband or I as we walked around for 45 minutes. No one said hello. No one offered to help. No one acknowledge our existence. Tons of green vested employees gathered together in circles chatting amongst themselves. I was horrified by the amazingly sub-par customer service. Love the setting, love the architecture and the smaller details like clocks for different landmarks and the Jack Kerouac cabin, and of course love the amazing gear selection!
Simply incredible. Amazingly designed store. And lots of variety in their products
Such helpful and happy people everywhere. Got my perfect trail running shoes and loads of camping gear. Please build REI in Hawaii!!!!!!
