This is obviously- if actually know me- a favorite store I'd mine!!! If you need gear, tools and thankfully now days, bike stuff, check them out. The staff are always helpful and if they don't know something, they find out, or someone who does. It's rare they can't answer a question. The selection and prices are competitive and the close out racks are great �

Hey folks! My name is Shaun! Recently I attended the WFA from REI/NOLS in Palo Alto, CA. The experience left me feeling empowered with confidence and preparation. One of your outdoor instructors that was in attendance Arielle, has proven to be exceptionally knowledgeable and helpful. She was kind, funny, attentive, well-skilled, and a good listener when I mentioned my goals for this program were in part, dedication to rehabilitation from PTSD. Happy trails and thank you for being here now. I 'll see you all outdoors!
For many years I was a fan of REI. But after two very bad experiences with their customer service (which used to be the main reason to drive to their stores) I've made a promise to never set a foot on their store ever again. Now days REI is full of FOMO's ( fear of missing out) people. NEVER AGAIN.
Don't remember the name of young lady that helped me this morning. Great customer service! Took the time to explain advantages of different packs. Went away the proud owner of REI Ruckpack 40 L
