I love REI! I was just at their Seattle location and it blew my mind.
I didn’t know the National Forest Pass was also covered by the National Park Pass I was going to buy both but the customer service team saved me money.
I’ve only asked for help once and got snubbed. Other times the employees have been nice. Pricey when not on sale.
How do you expect people to spend more time outdoors when they are too busy dealing with trying to actually get the items from your store or deal with ineffective customer service? Wish I could give the Saratoga and REI’s outdated online buying experience negative stars. Probably the worst retail buying experience I’ve had across the board. Friendly and helpful staff. Even though they didn't have the shoes we want in store, we came away with enough knowledge and bought the shoes online. Plus, the Vivace coffee shop makes the best espresso drinks, makes the trek to seattle worth it.

I purchased an Evergreen Campfire Rocking Chair from a garage sale couple years back and was recently told by REI themselves there was a safety recall on the product because it was known to tip backwards. Even though I purchased it at a garage sale and fully understand items are As-Is I don't think its ethical or moral for REI to pawn off unsafe items (REI PRODUCTS AT THAT) at a discount and then tell customers, "well you bought it As-Is so therefore you're stuck with it".
