Wij fietsen de NCR 8 van Chepstow naar Holyhead en hadden hier een stop gepland om (te voet) Yr Wyddfa te beklimmen. We konden het niet beter treffen! Een schattige, comfortabele en goed betaalbare cottage (Tryfan), van alle gemakken voorzien, aan de voet van het Watkinpad. De sympathieke eigenaar had allerlei boeiende verhalen en nuttige tips voor de trip de berg op en voorzag ons van hout en marshmallows voor een kampvuur. Het was goed thuiskomen na een lange tocht door de bergen. Aanrader!
We loved our little Maple Log Cabin in the woodland shade of the glamping site. It had a little mezzanine for two single mattresses accessed by a step ladder and a double bed, kitchen and bathroom on the ground floor. It had everything we needed to produce home cooked meals and we could eat either inside or on the little veranda. We stayed in Arun cottage for 4 nights. The location is second to none and right next to the start and finish of the Watkins path. There are 2 decent bathrooms 4 bedrooms and a 5th room in a second lounge downstairs. The best part is the are PlayStation 2 consoles on site for kids and adults to enjoy during your wind down time
We paid £63 a night we got more than what it cost! Perfect location to hike mount snowden! As it was amazing I would only make a few suggestions like improvement the benches outside and update the a4 rules and instructions form.
What a lovely find. The camping pods were just what we were looking for. Warm and cosy glamping, right on the doorstep of the mountains. On arrival the pod was warm, tidy, clean and inviting. The showers were clean, powerful and warm. The internet service was a real bonus as mobile signal was non-existent. With the Watkins path just 100m don't the road, and Cnicht mountain within easy reach, we landed on our feet when we found Bryn Dinas (Red Dragon) camping pods. Thank you for the warm welcome.
