A meal for twenty after a very wet day was just what we needed unfortunately with very short notice  We had a cancellation to say that there was a hospital emergency  Very disappointing  And very tiring relentless task for my friends who had to put hours in just trying to get the refund  It was not easy and I feel if they had not been persistent it would not have been refunded at all ) Almost £1000 please avoid at all costs

One star is too generous, mainly because our event didnt happen!!! Booked Marcus well in advance for a special 90th Birthday for our whole family. He took the money, issued the menus, all were selected and returned, mainly steak, and on the very day of the special birthday we were contacted with lots of excuses and the fact that he 'might not be able to make it' but would update us. We booked Marcus for a family occasion for a 90th birthday party. Very special event. Cutting this short, we were contacted at approx 2pm on the day to say he was in hospital and 'might not' be able to come. Despite a lot of backwards and forwards we had to make alternative arrangements which spoiled our entire celebrations. We ended up receiving money back through small claims court as he refused to answer. Would be cautious for this company

We booked Marcus to cook dinner for a mixed group of adults and children. He arrived over two hours late. We had to feed some of the children before his dinner. During the main course most of children took themselves to bed because it was so late. When the food did arrive, it was fine quality wise, but it was not what we had ordered, it was different food.

I read Paul's review with interest as i too had a shockingly disappointing experience with Real Food. All was fine until the day and when I look back the wool was clearly being pulled over my eyes and Marcus clearly had double booked. When i look back at my emails he mentioned his sous chef would be cooking for us as he was busy that day and on the day no sous chef but he turned up very very late!!
