Raw is great! – I went to Raw on a suggestion from a friend. I'm new to the city and I've been trying to find a great sushi restaurant. I've been to two others and Raw definitely is the best. The decor is modern, inviting and calm and it has a candle-lit feel. The music playing was what my friends like to call "emo" (short for emotional)... while I was there I heard Keane, the Fray, and Bloc Party... all great in my book. Fabulous for lunch too – I've had dinner several times at Raw and was ALWAYS very pleased w/ the service, food, seating, etc. Lately, I've been calling in a take-out lunch order and like dinner, their lunch offerings are fabulous. For the quality and quantity, it's a fair-priced lunch, and probably a wiser choice considering the lunch offerings in the vicinity. Great sushi – I love sushi and I love to try new places. I have to say that this is my favorite place. The atmosphere is nice. good drinks. The staffs are a bit bossy. They make you sit only curtain place at the bar. I made reservation but I still have to wait 30 mins. Sushi is amazing. little bit expensive but when you try the sushi you will forget about the price. I want to try every thing here. I will go back again very soon.
My favorite spot ... – Great food, great service and well worth the price! Great for a date or for a large group. Try the special rollsd, they are grea to share! This is one of the finest sushi places in the city!
Get the specialty rolls – As a regular of this restaurant I frequently get the specialty sushi rolls. They are a little on the expensive side ($15 and up) but they are creative and really delicious. The fish is always fresh and the prices are fair. They have a good selection of chilled sake. The service here is beyond excellent and I would highly recommend this place to everyone.
Great Sushi – In town for the Philly Marathon & wanted some great take-out. Raw had an excellent selection at decent prices. I would recommend to any sushi-lover! Nice atmosphere too!
Cool ambience, good fish, stale rice – Friend recommended Raw Sushi on the strength of their rolls. Their specialty rolls, while a bit on the expensive side ($15 to $18 for 8 pieces), were excellent and almost worth the high price. Cool Sushi Lounge – After reading few of the reviews here and being a sushi lover, I decided to give RAW a try - and what a good decision it turned out to be! A group of us (mix of seasoned sushi lovers and sushi novices) were very impressed. Sushi-licious! – Raw Sushi & Sake Lounge provides a cozy, warm, and inviting environment. The dimmed lantern-lights lining the ceiling and the candle lights glistening along the bar and at each dining table definitely embraces a romantic evening.
