very unsanitary conditions, urine specimens left all over our ER room, bloody cotton swabs on the floor, bed linen, nurses literally use disposable equipment and leaves it laying around instead properly disposing. i know ppl who have walked away from this hospital with staphylococcus who have Never had staph before encountering RRMC

Today I was sitting in the lobby area with my sick daughter . Security told me I couldn't sit there anymore . I have been a patient of Rapides Regional since 18 . I will no longer support or allow any of my friends, family or enemies go to this hospital.
I had a kidney infection 3 years ago, and I had no insurance. It was around 11PM, so nothing else was open but ERs. Long story short, I filled out the paperwork timely for help due to being uninsured, and was accepted. I got turned over twice to collections for this one ER visit! One didn’t even contact me until this year claiming that I owe $1800 for this same visit, which I already paid $1000 for! I basically need to sell my kidney to pay for this one visit where the PA treated me in the waiting room! I never even made it ... read more

RecommendedI was recently in the ER on 11/17/18 and my nurses was Ashley and Amy, they were very concerned that my blood pressure kept dropping and kept a very close eye on me. They were so nice and made me feel so comfortable when Dr Smith told me that I was being admitted. once admitted everyone upstairs on 7a was very nice also. Keep up the good work.

Never in my lifetime would I ever think I would endure what my family is experiencing, nor ever would I have imagined being so gravely disappointed in the hospital I grew to love over the years. Rapides Regional is very good with patient care. 4th floor A side in the old wing was where my mom was. Everyone was phenomenally great from orderlies,to maintenance, patient techs,nurses, to team physicians.
I never thought I would ever say anything bad in reference to my favorite hospital but the service that was received during my last encounter was extremely terrible. I feel that some of the nurses need to be removed due to the fact that they have gotten too comfortable and feel that the services are up to their liking and not the people encountering their terrible attitude. I have never seen such disrespect from nurses before!!
RecommendedI have had my grandson born there(2) and granddaughter now a great granddaughter born there, they take good care of you!
