Transferred In the ED from BJACH since 9am- was told we were being transferred to the 7th floor around 10am it’s been over 6 hours still in the ED in room 28. I love how the ED LOS and transfer out goal is under 4 Hours- we’ll goal not met!
I was brought in Thursday around noon by ambulance. I had chest pains severe. I'm lucky that I wanted to be here because the staff of Doctor's and Nurse's were all excellent. While I was here they recognised that my Kidneys weren't functioning properly. I am now being treated for that before doing a Heart Cath today which they discovered I had 80 percent blockage in my artery going to my heart. My son Thomas is a resident at st Mary's residential training school and was recently treated at this wonderful hospital. I cannot say enough good things about the hospital, staff, doctors, nurses to help my non verbal autistic son thru his illness. As a fellow physician I applaud the staff. 5 thumbs up!!!

My Dr found abnormalities with heart rate so sent me for EKG and holter monitor and labs immediately! 2 weeks later and heart results still not even read " bc they don't have a cardiologist for new heart patients to read results " so ... my Dr had nothing to go on ,Rapides has no solutions to get us results , and issues worsening quickly . Rapides use to be good and quick but .... that's a crime that in alnost 2 weeks they just can't do da cardiologist to read my heart monitor results so we can proceed with treatment . This place has changed for the worse. I’ve been having headaches on one side of my head for a month. Decided to come in tonight due to that and my heart feeling like someone is squeezing it and pain running from my head down my neck. My blood pressure was 157/142 and they couldn’t find anything wrong. So from now on I’ll ride out of town if I have too.
