I had 3 herniated discs and the pain was so excruciating not even pain pills could help me. The only thing that would help was to put my left arm over my head at all times. Dr Arakal performed cervical surgery on C-3 thru T-2. Prior to the surgery I was confined to a bed 90% of the day with severe pain and weakness. Immediately after the surgery I was virtually pain free without weakness. Dr Arakal is the best surgeon who really cares and listens to his patients. I am feeling better than I have in 20 years. He is a great physician and I am very grateful to him.

Took 6 weeks to get appointment to see Dr. Arakal and then he told me that he could not do steroid injection due to my insurance did not cover the facility he worked out of. He gave me to one of his associates to perform the steroid injection. Only trouble here is they did not do the steroid injection, instead they did a nerve block to see where the pain was. My husband and I both had back surgery and Dr Arakal was our surgeon. He was so wonderful, both our surgeries went well and as expected. When I work up from surgery, I felt better than when I went in. Even though they had to take bone off my hip and put several screws and rods in my back. I still pray for him, he saved my life.

I recently had 13 screws, 3 spacers & rods placed in my spine during a 2 part surgery. The relief from the pain I’ve suffered with for over 20 years is amazing! I would recommend my friends & family to see Dr. Arakal.

Dr Arakal repaired a collapsed lower spine with a ALIF / PLIF 10 hour procedure that allowed me to walk again. He is a great listener, patient and a good communicator. I would strongly recommend him to anyone.

Putting off what I knew would lead to surgery just made everything worse. After much prayer I decided to go ahead and get something done. I do not like driving in heavy traffic, so when I heard a great Dr comes to a city I am well acquainted with I made the call. I had so many people telling me who to go to i just shut them out and chose Dr Arakal. I really think God had something to do with my choice as I have not felt this good in over 20 yrs. Thank you Dr Arakal for helping me and my husband.

Extreme lower back pain for a year & a half, it caused severe pain in my leg & back spasms that knocked me to the ground frequently. Dr. Arakal was very patient, & was willing to go forward with all conservative treatment to find me relief. Unfortunately, my back didn't respond to them. He went forward with a 360 spinal fusion in Oct 2018. I cannot describe the feeling when I finally woke up with no pain after so long. His team has been so kind & if I ever need anything I know I can call.
