Never see Arakal ever girlfriend went in today to get her spine checked up on due to back and spine problems. There system was down today so checking in took a bit longer, from there she told them she couldn't sit up right for a long period of time she needed to lay down. Didn't let her lay down till they took 3 hours to check on her file from other doctors before. Had been dealing with back pain for over 15 years. Finally have in and went to see Dr. Arakal from a friend's recommendation. Was very thorough doing CT's, MRI's and x-rays. Had done PT and chiropractor before seeing him and neither worked. Did spinal injections which worked for about 2 weeks each time. Despite my fear of back surgery we did it and I'm glad I did! I had back pain for years and I went to many doctors over the years, took different meds and had the shots in my back for pain. I finally knew that something had to be done. Dr Arakal saved my mother-in-law's life. My mother-in-law had neck and lower back problems, She couldn't walk with low back pain. DR Arakal suggested that the neck operated before the lower back . I think this suggestion is very correct and professional, because if the neck is really bad condition even though she is not hurting. I have been a patient of Dr. Arakal's for 2 years. I had an unresolved back injury in addition to severe degenerative spinal arthritis that was affecting the feeling in my legs. In late 2019 Dr. Arakal performed a 360 degree lumbar fusion which includes 2 surgeries (anterior and posterior). Despite the extensive and intricate nature of these surgeries together I had no complications and have recovered well. Dr. Arakal, has been an incredible doctor and surgeon. After years of dealing with increased pain and loss of mobility I was referred to Dr. Arakal. After more than a year and two surgeries to my lower back and neck I have received and am continuing to receive pain relief and increased mobility. The kindest Dr I’ve ever had, it looks like he’s the only one that might refer to specialist I need without going to so far. Traveled several miles to an OR in amb n they were afraid to help me because of pain pump. Have excruciating pain all over now.Nancy Murphy
