This place is by far one of the worst for its reputaton and stature. We went for an event, and had a room booked. Half the room didn't work, including it was freezing, elevators were out of order except one and the bar/restaurant was the worst services ever!!! As a Carlson club member very VERY disappointed and won't return to that hotel.
It was great time the event I attend. Your meal and your workers were so nice. Bartender were so nice and helpful. I attend the Latino event great entertainment music and dancing. Wish we had coffee with our dessert. Still it was all good.
What exceptional and professional staff here. Very friendly and accommodating! Kym worked in several areas and did such a fantastic job as as did many ohers! Very nice to meet her!!
On the surface everything looked great. Check in was quick and painless. And then we got into the elevator which would stop on random floors and not always on ours. Finally got to our floor and then our room only to find hairs of varying lengths all over the sheets of both beds. Called the front desk and they corrected the problem quickly by giving us a cleaner room. DCA brings thousands of dollars of business every year over labor day weekend and we're shown nothing but indifference and incompetence. Literally the only plus side of this place is the location. We've been coming to Rochester on and off for 10 years and rooms are never ready, half of the doors don't work and the elevators needed to be replaced in 2008. Went to a wedding...staff was very professional, the decor was updated and lovely very modern...if I get married I will definitely consider this place.
The staff is the best. Bob, Becca, Hannah, Pedro, and Asonte made my stay extra special.
REVISED - Thanks to FB, they reached out and gave us a free breakfast for 4, $60 value, and free parking. Because of that, I revised my review from 1 to 4 stars. They'd have gotten 5 if not for the AC/Heat mishap. The hotel is very nice, staff is great as I had said originally. Original Review - Just had to wake up my 2 kids (both inside 5) to change rooms because not only was our ac broke, but the heat was blasting. 30 minutes later, it was 85 in our room and we were sweating as we packed up all of our stuff, at 1 am.
