RecommendedMy dad was recently a patient at Redwood Memorial Hospital. I want to thank all the staff. The security guards, the amazing ER staff, the super compassionate unit nurses, housekeeping, the Doctors and anyone else I'm forgetting. If I could give them no stars I would. My son broke out a rash that consumed his whole body in less then 12 hours. He 2. He was running a fever of 101.6 and they kept him in the waiting room for 4 and a half hours. I walked up the window for the 4th time to tell them my sons rash was turning purple !!! And his skin was hot to the touch. They told me they would try and get the doctor to see him in triage doctor care in. Checked his ears, mouth and rash and did no testing no medication. Redwood Memorial treats their Housekeepers and kitchen staff pretty poorly. The majority of the Med/Surg Nursing Staff is quite disrespectful as well.
I had a mammogram today that are so very intimidating and uncomfortable and raise up my anxiety so bad but shout out to Liz in the mammogram department she made me feel so much more comfortable and it was a better experience thru my emotional state. Thank you Liz, you rock!
This hospital is so much better than St. Joe’s Hospital or even Mad River. The staff is Pleasant and efficient. The wait time was five minutes. I’ve waited at St. Joe’s for 10 1/2 hours before and they are so rude to people that it is disgusting.
These guys at the ER no good under pressure. Caught a nurse giving a lady attitude then go put on a fake smile for somebody else. Seem like they pick and choose who to be nice to no matter how you treat them. The doctors are old but that’s all they seem to be. Their knowledge isn’t all there. Honestly, these guys would not survive in a real big city ER.
Deadwood has got to be the worst hospital in California. ER is terrible. the staff, doctors, nurses all terrible. You are better off taking the 20minute drive to Eureka which isnt a whole lot better. Er staff at deadwood would rather you just sit and suffer or even die rather than try to fix your health issues.
