Professor Cobb treated me in 1993 with a distal humerus and elbow replacement as I had a bone tumour. Almost 30 years later this prosthesis is still going strong and my life is pretty much normal. My recovery was aided by his excellent manner - explaining things, not frightening me by saying the wrong things, and being reliable and confidence-inspiring. I am really thankful he was my surgeon all those years ago.
