I've just had a soborrheic wart removed by Dr Rebecca Alsop. She was so professional and polite. The Dr and her assistant made me feel at ease as soon as I arrived. The op was carried out quite quickly and I hardly felt a thing. Thanks again to the Dr and her assistant.
The staff at the front desk are always very helpful and polite. The doctors themselves are good and professional, and I’ve generally felt well cared for when I’ve been able to access appointments. However, there are a few frustrating aspects. The surgery is closed for over an hour at lunchtime, which is often the only time many people can visit due to work. Twice this week and once last week i tried to get my repeat prescription of pills as im due to run out, i did it online and no one got back to me. I went to my local pharmacy thinking that the GP ordered them and i just needed to pick them up but the pharmacy said there is nothing on the system. Not good enough. Why bother waking up at 8am to do an online consultation when they dont even get back to you. By 8:30 all the online consultations have been booked its just ridiculous now. I made a request online to renew my approved prescription of Metformin tablets on wednesday 14th May, and today is Monday the 19th of May a I am still waiting for my GP to sign it despite phoning several times, to inform the receptionist that I have run out of medication. On each occasion I was informed that it will be ready in Boots, shire to collect. And Boots do not have it. My question is: why should GP needs four working days to sign an approved prescription ,?
