Prevent A Litter Veterinary Hospital is the first low cost, non-profit, spay/neuter clinic to open in Virginia. Since 1999, we have performed over 97,000 surgeries for cats, dogs and even rabbits! This has significantly reduced the number of homeless animals entering shelters and roaming the streets. We also provide low cost vaccines on a walk in basis for any cat or dog that has been spayed or neutered. We take pride in the high quality of our work and are looking forward to our 100,000th surgery coming up in late 2016!

I took my 5-6mo old kitten to get neutured, microchipped, vaccinated, and treated for fleas for an amazi g price I could afford and they did such a wonderful job and were extremely helpful with any questions I had. After picking Synyster up, I was expecting him to be very groggy and have the typical behaviors of post-op. When we got home, he immediately came out of his carrier and was already back to his normal self. Thank you so much for everything this office does!
I love the staff everyone is so professional and nice. My little Chloe had her spay there and it went well they took great care.of her and made sure I knew how to care for her post-op. Thanks a bunch for all you guys do at PAL!!!!
Thank you, so much, for taking such great care of Mama Kitty and Baby Girl, last weekend. Both are doing well and ready for more adventures and a longer, healthier life. Your staff was so helpful and caring. What a valuable service you provide to animals and people who love them.
I took our cat, CinnaMann, to be fixed and have his rabies shot. The staff were so friendly and pleasant. They even called me after surgery to let me know all went well. The staff at PAL were amazaing!!

Thank you so much for your kind words! He also has the best name ever!!!! =)
Everyone was so great and compassionate it blew my mind. Even when I was sitting in the waiting room waiting for my dog I could hear through the door one of the nurses was talking to a dog so sweetly you would have thought it was her own. I really appreciate the feeling that they cared for my pet as much as I did and it was really great to be updated on how everything was going. My dog is 4 pounds so I was extremely worried and they kept me very assured and eased my mind about the procedure. Any of my pets in the future will... read more
