Prevent A Litter Veterinary Hospital is the first low cost, non-profit, spay/neuter clinic to open in Virginia. Since 1999, we have performed over 97,000 surgeries for cats, dogs and even rabbits! This has significantly reduced the number of homeless animals entering shelters and roaming the streets. We also provide low cost vaccines on a walk in basis for any cat or dog that has been spayed or neutered. We take pride in the high quality of our work and are looking forward to our 100,000th surgery coming up in late 2016!

Great place with caring staff. They have taken wonderful care of several of my pets through the years.
I'm a little late on this review, but after a bad experience with another vet, pal did a wonderful job taking care of my baby and fixing what the others couldn't. He was neutered there and they made me feel like I could come to them with any questions or concerns about his after care. We didn't have any problems with them and not once did I feel even the slightest bit uncomfortable. They are great people and they seem to genuinely love what they do and care about our animals.
The staff was SO incredibly helpful and kind! They were so easy to work with and made the whole process so simple. You can truly tell they have a passion for animal care. I am BEYOND impressed and will be sure to recommend them to anyone I know looking for spay/neuter or immunizations for their pets!
good people doing good work at a reasonable rate
I brought my angel Wednesday in to get fixed and she made it through nice and fine and is home quietly resting. Thank you P.A.L. for everything you’ve done for my baby!! Dave Muñoz
Cooper is normally a bit shy in new places but the staff here were more than friendly and made him feel at ease!! He had his nueter surgery through the pitbull fund a few months ago and also had a recent appointment for vaccines and a heartworm/flea check up!! Both appointments went smoothly and we will definitely be returning in the future!! Thank you P.A.L!!!
