Prevent A Litter Veterinary Hospital is the first low cost, non-profit, spay/neuter clinic to open in Virginia. Since 1999, we have performed over 97,000 surgeries for cats, dogs and even rabbits! This has significantly reduced the number of homeless animals entering shelters and roaming the streets. We also provide low cost vaccines on a walk in basis for any cat or dog that has been spayed or neutered. We take pride in the high quality of our work and are looking forward to our 100,000th surgery coming up in late 2016!

I have had 4 cats spayed through them. All recovered beautifully.
I took my lil kitty up there back in 2008 to have her fixed. Procedure went fine. Then a day or two afterwards she wasn't drinking feeling bad laying around not being herself. And every time I go up there to get her rabies shot they remember her! Very nice place! I love it!! **Update** June 2016. I took my new cat Ripley up there got him fixe... read more
Great place. Everyone was extremely helpful and knowledgeable. They treated my cat wonderfully. He had a great recovery day-of and his site is doing great so far. Business response:
Don't feel bad! Cat's can often get sensitive from the anesthesia. Thanks for bringing him in!
They took great care of my pup Drax for his fix and chip!
Great care, friendly staff, excellent prices BUT most of all, an honorable non profit organization for the overall wellness of pets - can't say more about such a great cause - thank you for all you do! Oakley
