History Established in 1969. February 1962, Arthur Hood Jr. and Arthur Hood Sr. purchased a dealership in Fort Walton Beach. Seven years later, Arthur Jr.'s son, Preston, purchased the Florida dealership from his father and grandfather, and Preston Hood Chevrolet was born.

Thank you to the service department!! Brian the service advisor got us taken care of and the mechanic who worked on our truck got us taken care of within a day. We were in town from Kentucky and our Duramax went into limp mode due to exhaust filter issues. We were only planning on being in town a few days and were worried that we wouldn’t get our truck back before our scheduled departure. They took excellent care of us and I’d highly recommend them!!
