Don’t even deserve a 1 star!!! Went to this barber shop today and asked for a scissor cut on top with a skin fade. The barber clearly didn’t know what he was doing – the haircut was badly done and not blended properly. When I pointed this out, he blamed the shape of my head (which has never been an issue at any other barbers). On top of that, he was on his phone during the cut and seemed more focused on rushing to finish his shift than doing a decent job. £12 for a haircut this poor is unacceptable. Clearly, this is the single worst barber in the town, and that's saying something! As one of Googles top reviews globally with almost 7 million views, I know what isn't great. When I came here for a trim before going on holiday, the large guy not only cannot cut hair but also doesn't know much basic English, important stuff like 'a tiny trim please '. What he proceeded to do was to cut 4 inches of my fringe in one snip! Another barber had to take over to even it out as he absolutely ruined my hair, and I had to look as if my... read more

Prestige deserves all the business in Essex! In sad circumstances, my parents were forced to have an emergency civil ceremony at home as my dad’s cancer progressed aggressively even when one was planned in the diary at the town hall. I called Kay at Prestige and although he doesn’t do home visits and weekends are his busiest times, he came out and gave my dad a shave for the ceremony. He wouldn’t even accept payment.
