I would highly recommend the Portnellan Estate for a quiet get away. Plenty of places to visit close by for walks, meals and drinks. Cameron the Estate Manger was very helpful and friendly. It even has a gym if which is a decent standard to get you ready for the day.
Portnellan is in a beautiful location, nestled in woodland at the base of the Crianlarich mountains. The lodges are clean and comfortable with all the facilities you might need. The site is managed by Cameron, who was very friendly, helpful and easy to contact. I've stayed in similar places before and I can honestly say Portnellan is the best I've visited. What a brilliant place for the weekend. A 5 star spot nestled in the highlands. High quality and beautifully decorated accommodation and a warm welcome. We stayed in Red Stag which was a house for 8 comfortably.
We had a lovely stay at Whooper Lodge. It was clean and well maintained. Portnellan is very well located, allowing us to do numerous hikes within a 30' drive as well as climb Ben More leaving the lodge on foot.
Great Lodge with stunning views. Peaceful & relaxing, with much wildlife to spot. Central location so great for days out.
