Poppies Hotel is a charming place to stay, with a beautiful front garden that sets a lovely first impression. There’s also a private garden behind the inn, but guests should note that it’s not open for public access. The staff are absolutely wonderful and kind, making you feel welcome from the moment you arrive. The breakfast options are excellent with plenty of variety and great quality. Wunderbarer Aufenthalt im Herzen von Callander! Wir wurden unglaublich herzlich empfangen und vom ersten Moment an bestens umsorgt. Die Gastgeber waren extrem freundlich und aufmerksam! Unser typisch schottisch eingerichtetes Zimmer war gemütlich, sauber und sehr komfortabel. Das Bett war äußerst bequem, die Bettwäsche frisch und angenehm, und vom Fenster aus hatten wir einen herrlichen Blick auf die ruhige Umgebung. We had a very disappointing experience at Poppies Hotel in Callander, so much so that we didn’t even spend the night there. When we arrived, we dropped off our luggage and went out for dinner. My mother was already unhappy with her single room, where the bathroom looked more like a broom closet. But things took a much worse turn when we returned to our own room and discovered it was infested with midges (small insects common in the area).
