RecommendedGreat location! A beautiful patio deck and sunken garden area in the heart of the City - plus friendly, informed service and a good price.
Perfect spot for a mother/son (10yo) adventure! Pod 51 was exactly what we hoped for- different, fun for a kid, simple, clean, safe, and close to everything! Staff was friendly and accommodating. The free wine was awesome after long days out exploring! Will come again and recommend.
Extremely poor customer service. Tried to cancel my booking a week in advance by email. Was emailed back by Scarlet who told me I needed to cancel through booking[dot]com and I would be charged for the first night. This is despite booking directly through their website (why would I cancel my booking through booking[dot]com when I have never used it?) and that their website states they will not charge you anything for cancelled bookings more than 24hrs in advance. Mon mari et moi avons opté pour chambre avec salle de bain privée et nous avons fait le bon choix sachant que certains résidants paient moins cher mais ont les salles de bain communes, ce qui ne doit pas être pratique ! Le rooftop de l’hôtel situé au 14eme étage offre une vue imprenable sur tout Manhattan! L’hôte est très bien situé et offre la possibilité de visiter à pied : Times Square, Central Park, le Rockfeller Centre, le MOMA, etc.... Perfect location. I’ve just stayed here for a week with my mum and has been perfect. I was ready for tiny rooms, we were just sleeping after all, but we got an upgrade to a huge room for 4 people. Really cool! It was just located on the side with no lift and we had 2 ramps of stairs: that’s nothing after 20 kms walking everyday! I’d definitely come back!
Small rooms, so so clean, great location but please give information on how to work the air con??? I have just about melted before being told where the controls are.

Cramped and claustrophobic. Don’t take a cat- no room to swing it. Also not too clean.
Tiny rooms, Bunk beds & no ensuite. Sounds like a jet engine 24/7. Feels unsafe and the communal shower/ toilets are filthy. Seriously overpriced for what it is.
