Great friendly place to stay in a good location. Just a 10 minute walk straight up the road to Times Square & Rockefeller Center. 51st Street subway station just minutes walk from hotel. Very friendly staff. Shared Bathrooms were always clean and easily available. Felt very safe as a single female traveling on her own. Room is small but in New York you really only need a place to crash. Small cafe onsite offering breakfast. Great base, would stay here again

We loved our stay@ pod 51! It was clean, fun and easy walking to so many places. The free tours were outstanding too! All the staff were kind and helpful. Can't wait to visit again soon!

Super adorable and affordable. I thought “shared” bathroom would be weird but it wasn’t. They are private single use, several on each floor. Wash cloths would be nice, as others have reviewed. Not the comfiest bed but I thought the layout and use of space was ingenious. You shouldn’t be spending time in your room in a city like New York anyways. I would stay here again.

Stayed there 4 times. As New York goes its cheap, small and clean. No frills IKEA of hotels but PLEASE, can I get a face cloth?

Sleep, shower, poop. It has what you need. Third time there, still no face clothes. First time I thought maybe bad housekeeping, second time I'm like "really?" Third time... I'll bring my own (I lied, didn't sntp They DO provide: shampoo, conditioner, and wash soap( in big bottle form {which I don't mind}). Serves its purpose. Need to crash? Cool... don't look for a fridge or coffee maker.
