BBVA *********** conversion. what a mess what a disaster. Nobody from simple can access their money. BBVA is actually hanging up on people calling to try and fix this problem. My account is locked and i can not access my NEW BBVA account. NO emails only a small item on the webpage and ********* none ot the numbers provided are working. I have called more than 20 times and they either answer but then hang up on you or say they cant hear you then hang up on you. Now the numbers just disconnect. Horrible.
Man oh man well it has been a hectic few days. So far I still have no access to my account or money in that account (since it's allocated in savings). Called customer support across 4 different devices, and around 8 different times just to reach the same conclusion of the person on the other end hanging up (and no it isn't celluar connection because I had 4G LTE full bars). This company had months to prepare for Simple transition. Claiming and promising seamless transitions without any actions needed to be taken by the customer. It is now two days since transition and I (like many others) cannot access my account. Manage my funds, BillPay through my bank or talk to any customer service about it. Simple accounts transitioned to BBVA 5/8/2021 and now, as many users are experiencing, I cannot access my new account. Immediately upon trying to sign into the new account there was an error message on the website and since then the website tells me my account is locked and to call their customer service number. I'm not surprised by all of the negative and low star reviews of PNC Bank. I have been a customer for about 50 years and I had a problem with $325 in fees I was charged on a checking account. It was about a balance limit that I didn't meet. It's my fault for not catching it sooner, but I don't look up my account very often, and the bank should have reached out to me long before I discovered the problem. Awful bank BBVA is what happened to the Simple in terms of banking like Simple was. Been with simple awhile never ever did I have any problems. So go throughout my day 11am message I'm over drawn. I get paid that day for the last year and half every week and never had issues. So I dug more and found out this crazy logic which by the way is deceiving and theft towards customers! I had a PNC account for a while now. I had a steady amount of money coming in and out because of my job. I had $1500 stolen from me in fraud. I contacted PNC over the issue and they said they were going to provide me a provisional credit. They then turned around and took all of my money and left my account at -$980. I've been a customer of Simple since 2014. When it was purchased by BBVA, and subsequently shuttered this past weekend, it became abundantly clear that BBVA had not adequately tested integrating Simple customers onto their online banking service, despite an abundance of emails claiming that the process would be seamless.We were not allowed to set up online banking with BBVA until AFTER Simple had been shut down.
