I absolutely loved every element of my stay within the Shepherd's hut. We had 360 of stunning views and peaceful surroundings. The hut itself was incredibly clean, great facilities and some extra caring items (water bottles, power banks, games, area guides). While the accommodation was fantastic, its the staff who made this stay for us. We were made to feel welcome on arrival, issues were quickly rectified and most importantly I felt safe. Enjoyed 2 lovely nights here very kind staff and comfortable..lovely restaurant food is delicious too
In 2023, we walked down from the Glamping Tents, further up the road, as we had been reliably informed that the restaurant served excellent food. Although we weren't guests at the Plas Weunydd, the staff were amazingly generous with their time helping us select items from the menu. My wife has celiac and they had a number of menu options which were gluten free. She ordered a pizza and we were in agreement that it was the best gluten free pizza base we had ever witnessed.
