Every single time I come here the nurses are so rude to me when I am nothing but respectful and polite to the staff! From eye rolls to snotty remarks, seems to be every time I make a visit to the Emergency Room..
Backus Hospital’s website states: “we (Backus Hospital, Norwich,CT) earned The Joint Commission's Gold Seal of Approval” BEWARE!!!! My 20 year old daughter was rushed there by ambulance last month after someone watched her have a seziure. After all toxicology and CT results came back negative....they sent her home. She couldn’t walk, barely talk, could’t Lift head up or open eyes! DKH messed up as usual and needing care I drove all the way to Norwich to the ER. Immediately getting the attention I needed along with the medications needed! I had a 5 day stay and was treated with respect and had quality care! I have nothing but good things to say about Backus. It was worth the drive to get the medical care I needed.
This place is a total JOKE!! Came in after vomiting blood and a bloody nose and feeling very sick. Was told to sit down and wait. 3 HOURS LATER. after asking multiple times to be seen I FINALLY go in back to not even see a doctor but to wait ANOTHER HOUR. Finally got fed up with it all and left. This place is a total JOKE!! No one cares about the patient anymore only about wasting your time and money!!! �

I want to say thank u so much to all the amazing staff in the ER, CCU, AND EMTS, my mom came in this morning unresponsive and wit a Gi bleed, everyone has treated her and my dad, who's 71 yrs old, wit deep respect, except for one nasty very rude nurse who is on tonite who talked down and rude to my mom, I am a CNA for 23 yrs and we are all taught patience, love and respect, she had none she told my mom " stop moving, listen to me, you can't keep moving around ur way to heavy u will hurt my back" as a nursing professional...u... read more
