Occupying a historic 1929 building in popular Heritage Square, Pizzeria Bianco is one of the many establishments opened by celebrated chef Chris Bianco. As its name implies, the restaurant focus is pizza; with pies made with handcrafted mozzarella and topped with the finest produce from local sources. The restaurant has the classic Margherita or the slightly adventurous Rosa, made with onion, parmigiano, rosemary and AZ pistachios. The best time to visit is for lunch, because dinner service is usually crowded. If you are put... read more

One of downtown Phoenix's most popular restaurants serves up designer pizzas and gourmet Italian comfort fare. – In Short Diners, critics and guidebooks praise Chris Bianco's postage-stamp-sized pizzeria as one of the best restaurants in town. Brooklyn Italian Bianco, who's made educational trips to Italy, is an absolute fanatic about quality. The locally grown produce he uses is organic; he makes his mozzarella; and he tweaks the menu regularly to offer what's fresh and seasonal. Six wood-fired pizzas are the mainstay of th... read more
Just OK – I heard about this place through freinds. I waiting 2.5 hours to get in and boy was I disappointed. Being a New Yorker, was expecting Pizza. This is gourmet, wood fired, thin crust pizza which smelled and tasted like it was cooked in a fireplace. You leave the restaurant smelling of a fireplace. The staff is very rude and unprofessional. While we were online, waiting to put our name on the list, a group of ladies walked up cut in front of the line and got their name in. When people complained, the girl stated, hey,... read more
Excellence is worth the wait – I ate at Pizzeria Bianco last night. Wow! Simply thee best pizza I have ever eaten. Perfection. Each ingredient spoke for itself and formed a perfect combination. The organic greens salad was amazing, the bread to die for. The staff were very accomodating, friendly and professional. The reviewer that said he waited a long time for his pizza probably has ADD. Our service was prompt despite the crowd. Chris was very friendly and our waiter was fabulous. I will be a frequent, repeat patron. Amazin... read more
Best little Pizza place in town!! – This quaint little restaurant is a real treasure. Yes, there is a wait, but it is worth it. You can have cocktails next door, reasonably priced $4.00 beers (local brews)/$6-8 glass of wine (good wines). After cocktails (1 to 2 hours), we were seated and the staff is extremely friendly and efficient. You can plainly see they are extremely busy but still very courteous!! Our waiter couldn't have been nicer....he made recommendations, explained menu items, and served everything quickly. The p... read more
BURNT PIZZA, ARROGANT SERVICE, STARK AMBIENCE – I wish I had read the reviews before going to Pizzeria Blanco. We stumbled across it after attending an event at America West and returning to our parking place. Both the hostess and the server were rude and arrogant and acted like they were doing us a favor, the food was poorly prepared and bland in general. The pizza being burnt and having sparse toppings, the salads unimaginative with bland dressing, and the "fresh baked bread" was tough and virtually inedible. After being t... read more
Great Pizza! – Chris Bianco demonstrates why fresh is best. He knows exactly what he puts in every pizza, because he makes the sauce, he makes the cheese, he makes the dough and he makes every pizza that is served himself. What could be better? The tomatoes seem like they haven't been canned. They don't have that tinny flavor. I wouldn't be surprized if they peel and seed the tomatoes at the restaurant. Also, I noticed that he made his employees feel important and impowered. Most importantly, my wife now knows about my quest... read more
Delicious!!!!!!! – I was dying to try the famous PB, knowing that there would be some bit of a wait. The hostess was very nice and honest about the time it would take before we were seated. We waited for 2 hours and were served immediately. The service was great, and our bill, excluding drinks, was less than $30.00 for two. i would highly recommend dining at this famous Pizzeria Bianco!!!!!
Rude service at a premium price – I have never had a worse dining experience. After waiting 3-1/2 hours (told 1-1/2 to 2) we were greeted by the (so called) hostess, who wanted us to thank her for even allowing us in, and continued to yell at us as we were seated. It turns out that she is the owner, and that's a good thing because I am sure she would have been fired if she weren't. AWFUL!!!
Chris's Partner/Fiance ruined it for us – After we sat down the hostess moved us to the bar since the seats were to have been for another couple before us(so she claims). I was perplexed since there are no reservations and if the restaturant caused this error, why move us? I later found Chris's fiance knew the couple and gave them preference over us; they had a gallery somewhere downtown. I then called the restaturant and spoke with his Fiance and I must tell you I was never so humiliated ifrom a business owner. I explained ... read more
