Lovely place to stay with family. Our house (Chestnut Lodge) was spacious and well kept (though my wife did find the mixture of white and warm lightbulbs off-putting!). The farm site as a whole is attractive, with some pleasant walks. The café is very good. The games area (guests only) is a nice touch (the pool table was a little worn, but no worse than you'd get in many pubs). Be aware that, although the village is quite close, it's a fairly steep uphill walk from the farm!
We always stay at the Salford cabin up the road but love to visit pitland farm, it's surrounding nature , the cafe & the holiday homes. Very beautiful day out for all.
The location should have 6 stars, not 5. The views are magnificent, the property is very spacious and very well equipped, and the grounds are great for all ages, good pathways around the lakes but plenty of green spaces and equipment for the younger visitors.
Been coming here 13 years and it just gets better,came in may this year which was fantastic back in July this year,it's our paradise Alice is lovely will do anything for you xxx
This place is fantastic, lovely hosts, great fishing ponds, and the view we'll you can't describe it in words,my self and my family are going back next year, it is so peaceful, the pheasants that greet you in the morning is so delightful also the pigs , goats and chickens well talk about having these as pets it is heaven.
