Dr. Pinto is an outstanding Orthopaedic Surgeon. He performs excellent diagnostics and takes his time thoroughly explaining your issue and your options. My rotator cuff surgery went very well, and my follow-up visits helped me understand what was going on in the healing process and what to expect in the coming weeks. He has excellent attention to detail and a wonderful disposition with his patients. He is a Blessing to his profession!
My sons shoulder was a mess! The staff and doctors here were excellent. With surgery, follow up visits, and PT he is only five months out of surgery day and already has 100% movement and range. Still working on the strength, that will come with more time. His injury’s were extensive and they were very honest on letting us know, he may not get full use. Great work Dr. Pinto!
I waited an hour past my appointment time and found him to be rude and condescending. Dr. Pinto was quick to make a diagnosis without examining me or asking any questions. He claimed that my MRI was of such poor quality that he couldn't read it and he didn't believe I had a tear in my rotator cuff, so it must be frozen shoulder. Sent me back to therapy AGAIN despite the fact that I had already done that. I got a 2nd opinion who found 3 tears and a bone spur using that same MRI. Go elsewhere.
Great bedside manner. Dr. Pinto listens, evaluates and assesses the condition. He explains the issues in common language, discusses possible treatment plans and let's you know what he can do for you. No nonsense, very thorough and an excellent surgeon. His team has always been upbeat and positive. We tried non-operative treatments first. I really didn't want to end up in surgery but I am very happy with St. Joe's-Chelsea, my shoulder repair and thankful to have Dr Pinto as my surgeon.
He accurately detailed the surgical plan and recovery process.
Very skilled, very professional. Has a conservative reputation - doesn't hurry into surgery before non-surgical options are tried. I found this to be true in my case as well. No nonsense in the office - they listen fully to your concerns and let you ask as many questions as you need to, and then they give you very matter-of-fact assessment and options. Absolutely professional and competent. Hope I don't need an orthopedic surgeon again, but if I do I would definitely return here.
Dr. Pinto and his staff made me feel as comfortable as possible before and after rotater cuff surgery. Everything that needed to be done is in one location ( lab MRI exrays). There was no long waits for aftercare visits. Also Dr Mark and Dr.Scott was very thorough in explaining every aspect of surgery and the healing process.
I would highly recommend Dr. Mark Pinto, his physician asst. and office staff to my friends and others. They were all very competent and professional. Dr. Pinto did an excellent job of explaining what to expect before and after my rotator cuff surgery.
