Dr. Sharkey replaced both of my hips in 2009, which I don't think is permitted anymore. I made an appt recently to check on some noise coming from the left hip. It turns out that some additional exercise has mostly resolved that. Xrays were taken and Dr. Sharkey reviewed them before opening the office door. He thoroughly put me at ease that nothing was wrong. He showed me what he was looking for on the images and that those conditions didn't exist. Had surgery in 2023,went 5 times with complaint of continued hip pain ,difficulty bwalking,appointment s canceled ,,finnally a mri that he looked at for all of 5 seconds.showed tendonosis, steroids for 5 days ,again went back Told if I wanted get a second opinion and he would call.he didn't .I got one ,which takes months ,had to get an ultrasound which again took months to schedule.Torn gluteal tendon.now I am off my feet ,almost two years out.need further treatment.this could have been ordered a full year before.Seems so ni... read more
16 years ago Dr Sharky replaced my Left knee. Last year(2024)my Right knee.Wish we could clone him for everyone.He will soon be replacing my sons knee or knees depending on the reports and So thankful he is still practicing. Never a problem and the best demeanor any Dr I’ve ever sat one on one in an office with!
So I had surgery a year and a half ago and he is just a production line surgeon who makes you feel when you meet him that you are the most wonderful person in the world and cares about you. but after surgery, you’re lucky to get an appointment ,he does not order physical therapy. I had to fight for physical therapy. One leg is longer than the other, and I have been in worse pain since before the surgery. Dr Sharkey helped educate me in my quest to solve my knee painI appreciate the time he spent with me
Dr. Sharkey is one of the nicest Doctors I have ever met. I love his demeanor and bedside manners. He took the time to explain to me in detail what was going on with my knee using my X-ray to make sure I could see visually why I was having so many issues with my knee. He also took the time to explain what would happen before and after the surgery. I would recommend Dr. Sharkey to anyone I come across.

Doctor Sharkey and his incredible team replaced my right hip and left knee in the same surgery on 6-26-23I’m very happy I selected Dr Sharkey to perform the procedures.
