Recently had my foot operated on for a bone infection; resultant from a wound that hadn't completely healed in almost 2 years. Results of the surgery were excellent and Dr. Blume was able to save the affected toe. He fully explained the procedure and my options; and the subsequent care after the surgery was also attentive. His staff at the office and the hospital was very professional. I will highly recommend him.
I recently had surgery and was very pleased from beginning to end with the care I received. MD Blume is excellent and thoroughly explained all my options. His staff is very friendly and courteous. I never waited more than 5 minutes for my appointment. I recommend him to everyone looking for a Podiatrist

Dr. Blume has been a great blessing for my husband. He repaired a dropped metatarsal bone in his foot and my husband, who had been walking on what felt like a rock for over two years, now can walk without pain 8 weeks later. He's an excellent doctor and we never even considered getting a second opinion once we met him. We feel like we chose the best - and the results prove that we were right! We're very grateful!
I had multiple fractures in my right ankle as the result of an auto accident in September, 2015. My first surgery left me in constant pain, from an orthopedist whom I wished I had never gone to. After a failed foot surgery 8 years ago which left me with an intractable wound on the sole of my right foot which could not be healed despite multiple attempts by wound specialists/clinics over many years, I ended up with a very serious infection which necessitated my hospitalization. Dr Blume is wonderful! Great bedside manner. He explained everything about bunion surgery before as well as the day of my surgery, which was today!! The shoreline surgical center is wonderful (owned by Yale) and completely immaculate. Nurses were so amazing! I would recommend Dr Blume to anyone looking for a foot surgeon. The soft mass in the tarsal tunnel area of my foot was misdiagnosed for 17 years. Finally found a podiatrist that referred me to Dr Blume. I was diagnosed with an aggressive and deep melanoma to the foot - Dr. Blume not only walked me through every step of diagnosis and treatment, but assembled an amazing surgical team to tackle this problem. The office staff were WONDERFUL - responsive and helpful! Don't go anywhere else!
