June 25 I fell and thought I broke my big toe. Went to my local ER they said it wasn't broken. I went to my primary dr and he said yes it is broke. He said I needed To see a surgeon and sent me to see Dr Blume for a consult. His staff were phenomenal. I wish all drs had a medical staff who cared so much for their patients as his. Had bunion surgery in November, followed Dr. Blume's post op orders and was able to drive 500 miles for Thanksgiving and complete a 200 12 day hike in May. Just as he assured me I would. Thank you
In August 2012 I had a serious foot infection with a real possibility of loosing my foot. Dr Blume was and continues to be fabulous! I had surgery loosing a toe and part of the foot. After months of antibiotic therapy, a repeat surgery for a skin graft, I have recovered back to my normal life! I followed Dr Blume's instructions to the letter, controlled my blood sugar and have return to the job I love as an ER nurse. On my feet continuously! Will always be grateful and compliant!

I had surgery in July. I had to spend three days in the hospital. I just completed six months of follow up office visits. I am now discharged. Dr Blume was kind and informative pre-op, during my hospital stay, and post-op. I am very satisfied with my surgery and the care I received. Dr. Blume was great.
Dr. Blume diagnosed a plantar plate tear (with MRI) when another Podiatrist I had seen for a year had diagnosed nerve damage and treated me with steroid injections and probably would still be had I not sought a second opinion. The surgery went well and I no longer have that pain. Throughout my treatment Dr. Blume was very professional and instilled confidence in his ability to help. Stay away from Dr Blume at all costs. He is arrogant, lacks compassion, and is hardly the hot shot surgeon he thinks he is. Check out and see if he has a pending law suits. I suspect you'll find at least one. He is more interest in promoting his reputation and lining his pockets.
The environment was a race track.Patients are packed into the waiting area like sardines. I had limited doctor, Dr. P. Blume contact, 5 minutes may be. You have to speed talk when seeing Dr. Blume. The staff is fine. My orthodontics fit poorly. The orthodontics were not wide enough. The orthodontics did not accommodated the fact that I walked on the sides of my feet all my life and needed heel support. n an article I read DR. PETER A. BLUME states that he gives patient 100% of his care this is baloney. I was put in a room and waited for about 15 to 20 minutes before being seen by the Doctor.. Then it is like you are off to the races when the Doctors see you. Then you are rushed rush if you are lucky you get to spend 5 minutes with the Doctors.
