Eddy Scott helped me replace, in the parking lot, an exhaust insulator, just as they were closing, and stayed to help finish the job after the store closed. The entire time he was highly personable, professional, helpful, and humorous. It was our best, and most honest, experience to date with any automotive professional.
They will rip you off on tires!!! Dont honor warranties because employees don't write mileage on receipts! RIP off!
Went to Pep Boys to get an oil change. Yes, I know they are a ripoff spot, but it was close to home and I was in a hurry. Quoted me $82 plus tax. My eyebrows raised a little because that's a LOT of money for an oil change. But I did it. Waited the 45 minutes to be done. Went to pay. $104. What?!?! I told the guy the quote I was given. He wanted to know who said it. I couldn't remember. Paid almost 40.00 for a new set of lugnuts and thank was charged 16.00 to have them put on. Guy is putting them on now and is a DAMN idiot. Told the cashier how to get them off because they are old and rounded. Either he didn't tell the service guy or service guy was like " FU I'm going to do it my way".
Best service. Got into town with family for July 4 and had rotor issues/tire locking up. Once I pulled in everyone was very helpful and told me they were going to get me back on the road asap. Immediately 2-3 tech jump on it and fixed the trouble within 30mins and I was on the road again. Great job to the techs and management.
Worst service EVER! I was told one thing was wrong with my car and that it needed to be fixed, so I dished out $140. Got home looked at the receipt and the one thing I was told I was paying for wasn't even done! Called to find out why and was given a run around. I will never go back there or request that anyone else goes there. A complete waste of 4 hours and $140!!
Pepboys is the biggest rip off ever. I brought my truck in to pepboys for a U-joint replacement but they said they could not. Instead of replacing my U-joint they said my entire rear end needed to be replaced for 1,500 dollars. I was like, what are they paying for. I could get a car for that. They said they were going to use a used differential form a salvage yard and it would cost 1,000 dollars for just parts. If I was going to replace it myself I could do it for MAX 300 dollars.
